The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
