Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
