▼ 8 The Spoils of War
Al-Anfaal 8 of 10
Let not the deniers of the truth be deluded that they will gain any advantage. Surely, they, can never overcome Us! 59 And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged. 60 ۞ But if they incline to peace, incline thou to it as well, and place thy trust in God: verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 61 Should they intend to deceive thee,- verily Allah sufficeth thee: He it is That hath strengthened thee with His aid and with (the company of) the Believers; 62 among whose hearts He has placed affection and unity. If you were to spend the wealth of the whole earth, you would not have been able to unite their hearts but God has been able to unite them. God is Majestic and All-wise. 63 O Prophet! sufficient unto thou is Allah and those who follow thee of the believers. 64
