The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
