The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Woe to those that deal in fraud,- 1 Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully, 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 Imagine such men not that they shall be raised up? 4 On a Mighty Day, 5 The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? 6 Indeed the ledger of the wicked will be in Sijjin. 7 And what could make thee conceive what that that mode inescapable will be? 8 (It is) a marked Book. 9 Woe, that Day, to those that deny- 10 who belied the Day of Recompense! 11 And none deny it except every sinful transgressor. 12 When Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!" 13 Not at all - but rather their earnings have heaped rust upon their hearts. 14 By no means! Verily on that Day from their Lord they will be shut out. 15 Then, verily they will indeed enter and taste the burning flame of Hell. 16 Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny." 17 However, the records of the deeds of the virtuous ones will certainly be in Illiyin. 18 And what will make you know what the highest Iliyin is? 19 A record of good deeds written. 20 Witnessed by those who are honoured. 21 The virtuous will surely be in bliss, 22 On thrones, they shall gaze; 23 Thou wilt know in their faces the radiance of delight. 24 They will be served a drink of the finest sealed wine, 25 pouring forth with a fragrance of musk. To that [wine of paradise,] then, let all such aspire as [are willing to] aspire to things of high account: 26 and its mixture is Tasneem, 27 a spring, the nearest ones to God will drink from it. 28 The sinners indeed laughed at believers 29 when they passed by them, they would wink at one another; 30 And when they went back to their people turned to make fun of them; 31 And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray. 32 Yet they were not sent as watchers over them. 33 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers, 34 seated upon their couches, they are looking around. 35 Have the unbelievers been duly rewarded for their deeds? 36
