The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and so am I: 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
