To whosoever blinds himself from the Remembrance of the Merciful, We shall assign him a satan so he is his companion, 36 And indeed those devils prevent them from the Straight Path, and they think they are on guidance! 37 And when he comes before Us, he shall say: 'Would that there had been between me and you, the distance of the two Easts' Evil is the companion. 38 When ye have done wrong, it will avail you nothing, that Day, that ye shall be partners in Punishment! 39 What! can you then make the deaf to hear or guide the blind and him who is in clear error? 40 And if We take thee away, We surely shall take vengeance on them, 41 Or if We shew thee that wherewith We threaten them, verily We are going to prevail over them. 42 Therefore, hold fast to that which is revealed to you, indeed, you are on the Straight Path. 43 And verily, this (the Quran) is indeed a Reminder for you (O Muhammad SAW) and your people (Quraish people, or your followers), and you will be questioned (about it). 44 You can ask Our Messengers whom We sent before you if We had commanded them to worship other gods besides the Beneficent God?" 45
