Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
