Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
