And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
