By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning to mortals, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
