Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Illustrious scribes 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
