The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
