How many a sign there is in the heavens and in the earth that they pass by, turning away from it! 105 And most of them believe not in Allah except that they attribute partners unto Him [i.e. they are Mushrikun -polytheists - see Verse 6:121]. 106 Do they then feel secure from the coming against them of the covering veil of the wrath of Allah,- or of the coming against them of the (final) Hour all of a sudden while they perceive not? 107 Say thou: this is my way: I call unto Allah resting upon an insight - I, and whosoever followeth me. Hallowed be Allah: and I am not of the associators. 108 We sent not forth any before thee, but men We revealed to of the people living in the cities. Have they not journeyed in the land? Have they not beheld how was the end of those before them? Surely the abode of the world to come is better for those that are godfearing. What, do you not understand? 109 [All the earlier apostles had to suffer persecution for a long time] but at last - when those apostles had lost all hope and saw themselves branded as liars - Our succour attained to them: whereupon everyone whom We willed [to be saved] was saved [and the deniers of the truth were destroyed]: for, never can Our punishment be averted from people who are lost in sin. 110 Indeed in their tidings is enlightenment for the men of understanding; this (the Qur’an) is not some made up story but a confirmation of the Books before it, and a detailed explanation of all things, and a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 111
