Say: "Who can keep you safe by night and by day from (the Wrath of) (Allah) Most Gracious?" Yet they turn away from the mention of their Lord. 42 Have they gods who defend them beside Us? They are not able to succour themselves, and against Us they cannot be kept company with. 43 We allowed them and their fathers time to enjoy till the very end of their lives. Do they not see Us advancing into the land, reducing its frontiers? Would they still prevail? 44 (Muhammad), tell them, "I am warning you by revelation alone." The deaf do not hear any call when they are warned. 45 And if a blast of the chastisement of your Lord were to touch them, they will certainly say: O woe to us! surely we were unjust. 46 We shall set up just scales on the Day of Resurrection so that none will be wronged in the least. (We shall bring forth the acts of everyone), even if it be the weight of a grain of mustard seed. We shall suffice as Reckoners. 47 And assuredly We vcuchsafed unto Musa and Harun the distinction and illumination and an admonition for the God-fearing. 48 such as fear God in the Unseen, trembling because of the Hour. 49 And this [Qur'an] is a blessed message which We have sent down.
