Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 and the severally severing 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
