The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
