Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
