HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
