He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 You never know. Perhaps he wanted to purify himself, 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 To him you give attention. 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 And he fears, 9 you ignore him. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 From what has God created him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 and then We cleave the earth [with new growth,] cleaving it asunder, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and green fodder 28 And the olive and the palm, 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 and fruits and fodder 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 Blackness overcoming them. 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
