The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
