The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death). 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
