The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 you pay attention 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
