Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
