T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 And has the story of Musa come to you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
