Al-Najm 3 of 3
Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
