He built it, 27 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. 28 and covered its night with darkness and brought forth from it its day; 29 And after that He spread the earth, 30 therefrom brought forth its waters and its pastures, 31 And the mountains He has fixed firmly; 32 an enjoyment for you and your herds. 33 But when the great predominating calamity comes; 34 The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, 35 And the hell shall be made manifest to him who sees 36 then he who transgressed 37 And who preferred the life of the world, 38 surely, Hell will be their refuge. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 shall dwell in Paradise. 41 They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? 42 (Muhammad), you do not know (when and how) it will come. 43 Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof. 44 Your duty is only to warn him who fears it. 45 The day they see it, it will seem they had stayed in the world but only an evening or its turning into dawn. 46
