Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
