3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
