Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
