54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Ha'. Mim. 1 A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;- 2 A Book whereof the verses are detailed; an Arabic Qur'an, for a people who know. 3 good tidings to bear, and warning, but most of them have turned away, and do not give ear. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say thou, [O Prophet:] "I am but a mortal like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is the One God: go, then, straight towards Him and seek His forgiveness!" And woe unto those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him, 6 Who give not the poor-due, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 As to those who have faith and do good works, surely theirs shall be a never-ending reward. 8
