The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created the human being 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
