Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
