He it is Who sends down water from the cloud for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees upon which you pasture. 10 With this water He produces for you crops, and olives, and dates, and grapes, and all kinds of fruit; indeed in this is a sign for people who ponder. 11 And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder; 12 And what He has multiplied for you in the earth is of various hues; surely, in that there is a sign for a nation who remember. 13 It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful. 14 He placed stablisers in the earth so that while it revolves you live undisturbed, and rivers and tracks so that you may find your way; 15 And landmarks. And by the stars they are [also] guided. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 And if ye would count the favour of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! Allah is indeed Forgiving, Merciful. 18 And Allah knoweth that which ye keep secret and that which ye publish. 19 And those whom they worship other than Allah, do not create anything but are themselves created. 20 They are, [in fact], dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected. 21
