The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 The piercing star! 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
