Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8
