Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
