3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
