Hizb 46

Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 He abandoned his people 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
