The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are united, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the books are spread, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 The rising dawn, 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
