Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Generous and recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
