The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
