The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
And by the sun and its brightness; 1 and the moon as it reflects the sun! 2 By the Day as it shows up (the Sun's) glory; 3 and the night as it veils it darkly! 4 By the heaven and That which built it 5 and the earth and all its expanse! 6 by the soul and how He formed it, 7 and inspired it to lewdness and godfearing! 8 Prosperous is he who purifies it, 9 and failed has he who seduces it. 10 The tribe of Thamud denied with rebellion. 11 When the most unfortunate of them broke forth with 12 The Messenger of God told them, "This is a she-camel, belonging to God. Do not deprive her of her share of water". 13 But they gave him the lie, and hamstrung the she-camel. So their Lord destroyed them for their crime and razed their city to the ground. 14 He has no fear of its sequel. 15
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
