The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
