O Children of Israel! Remember My Favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfill (your obligations to) My Covenant (with you) so that I fulfill (My Obligations to) your covenant (with Me), and fear none but Me. 40 And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me. 41 Confound not the Truth with falsehood nor conceal it knowingly. 42 And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and bow down with those who bow down. 43 ۞ Do you bid other people to be pious, the while you forget your own selves - and yet you recite the divine writ? Will you not, then, use your reason?! 44 And seek assistance through patience and prayer, and most surely it is a hard thing except for the humble ones, 45 who know for certain that they will meet their Lord, and that they will return to Him. 46
