And recall what time the hypocrites and these in whose hearts was a disease said: their religion hath begulfed those. And whosoever relieth on Allah then verily Allah is Mighty, Wise. 49 If thou couldst see how the angels receive those who disbelieve, smiting faces and their backs and (saying): Taste the punishment of burning! 50 This is the result of their deeds. God is not unjust to His servants." 51 Similar to the behaviour of the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and of those before them; they rejected the Ayat (proofs, verses, etc.) of Allah, so Allah punished them for their sins. Verily, Allah is All-Strong, Severe in punishment. 52 That is because Allah never changeth the grace He hath bestowed on any people until they first change that which is in their hearts, and (that is) because Allah is Hearer, Knower. 53 Like the ways of Firaun’s people and those before them; they denied the signs of Allah – We therefore destroyed them on account of their sins and We drowned the people of Firaun; and they all were unjust. 54 Lo! the worst of beasts in Allah's sight are the ungrateful who will not believe. 55 The ones with whom you made a treaty but then they break their pledge every time, and they do not fear Allah. 56 Therefore if you overtake them in fighting, then scatter by (making an example of) them those who are in their rear, that they may be mindful. 57 If thou fearest treachery from any group, throw back (their covenant) to them, (so as to be) on equal terms: for Allah loveth not the treacherous. 58
