The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 you pay attention 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
