Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
