The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
