Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to [evil] with [constant] incitement? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 The Day shall soon come when We shall bring together the God-fearing to the Most Compassionate Lord, as honoured guests; 85 and drive the evildoers as herds, into Gehenna 86 None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Certainly you have made an abominable assertion 89 It is such a monstrosity that heavens might well-nigh burst forth at it, the earth might be cleaved, and the mountains fall 90 Due to their ascribing of an offspring to the Most Gracious. 91 and it behoves not the All-merciful to take a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) as a slave. 93 Verily He knoweth them and numbereth them with (right) numbering. 94 And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone. 95 Lo! those who believe and do good works, the Beneficent will appoint for them love. 96 So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people. 97 And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Do you perceive of them anyone or hear from them a sound? 98
